Giovanna is an Italian illustrator and cartoonist.
She studied illustration, graphic arts and comics in Italy (ABABO) and Belgium (ESA Saint Luc). She collaborated with the Sigaretten publisher (Italy) and the Raum fuer Illustration gallery (Germany).
Her comics are featured in some independent magazines and publishers, such as Kush, Kuti Kuti, Wobby, Komikaze, Sigaretten and EnterPress.
She’s currently living in the US, where she led a workshop at the SMFA of Tufts (Boston).
Free shapes, patterns and reproductions of vectorial forms on paper are expressions of her inner life. She gets fully inspired by manga’s facial stereotypes, Futurism and retrogames.
