Anežka Hošková is a prominent multimedia artist and a pioneer of post-romantic and emotive tendencies within the contemporary visual art scene. Influenced heavily by Gothic architecture, symbolism, and her active involvement in the alternative music scene, her expressive practice spans painting, drawing, and custom stained glass. For the festival, she presents her independent project “Heartland”, which expands traditional illustration into a three-dimensional spatial medium. By transferring intuitive watercolor drawings and organic glass constructions into the physical environment, she creates an immersive installation that viewers can actively step into. Her work explores liminal states of consciousness, desire, and anxiety, using fluid, unstable motifs that blur the boundaries between the intimate and the mythical. Ultimately, the exhibition functions as an experiential map of an inner landscape rather than a linear narrative, transforming illustration into an autonomous spatial language.
