Antonie Zavadilová

Antonie Zavadilová (*2004) is a third-year animation student at FAMU. She primarily creates vibrant, dynamic films and enjoys experimenting with various drawing techniques, which comes in handy for her analog animation that she only minimally combines with digital tools. She is interested in work for both children—which she explored in her first film I Love You, Elephant (2024)—and adults. In her film In Love Autoharp for Sexy Guys (2025), she touches on themes of relationships, fantasies, friendship, and the differing experiences of people with and without disabilities. In her filmmaking, she enjoys blending everyday experiences and emotions, gentle lyricism with humor, and completely flat shots with a unleashed camera and metamorphosis. The film The Earthworm is Thirsty, presented at the LUSTR festival, is her bachelor’s thesis project.
