Árpád Szigeti (* 1985) is Hungarian artist, printmaker, and the founder of Hurrikan Press micro publishing house and printshop. In the works presented at LUSTR, Árpád replaces the risograph printing technique he knows so well with powder coating, a specialized surface-finishing technology. These works were realized with the support of RAL5050 Studio. To create the figurative images, Árpád employed a method of automatic drawing, from which recurring figures, landscapes, and plants emerge. His visual language is characterized by a limited color palette, a pursuit of visual reduction, and a distinctly graphic approach.
