Barbora Idesová and Lily Bailie are friends who share a love for vibrant colors and patterns. This year, they decided to collaborate and create a tapestry that combines their illustrations into a unified whole. Both are inspired by pagan mythology and wanted to incorporate elements of it into their joint piece for this year’s LUSTR, featuring priestesses, motifs of nature worship, and lunar rituals. Lily is a costume and textile designer based in Belfast and Prague. She creates strikingly colorful works using techniques such as screen printing, textile collage, embroidery, and painting. Barbora works as an illustrator in Prague. Her drawings often depict scenes from her own imaginary mythology, filled with female figures, plants, and decorative elements.
