Lucie Barbora Kudláčková

Lucie Barbora Kudláčková is a Czech visual artist whose work spans multiple media. While illustration lies at the core of her practice, she also works with graphic art, comics, text, and animation. Her artistic approach is often experimental, combining drawing with ceramics, sound, 3D modeling, and 3D printing.
She focuses primarily on themes such as emotion, introspection, and memory, which she frequently intertwines with elements of fantasy and imagination. She creates personal visual worlds where reality merges with inner experience.
Under the Weeping Willow
Digital illustrations printed on fabric, sculptures printed with a resin 3D printer
This piece explores themes of self-discovery, acceptance, and emotional processing. At the same time, it references the artist’s personal connection to a specific place — “under the willow” — which she associates with her adolescence and sees as a space of safety and nostalgia.
Both the illustrations and the objects reflect the processing of old memories that keep returning and gradually take on new meaning. They capture a moment when one can look back at the past, understand it, and simultaneously let it go. The accompanying texts function much like diary entries, a form of reflection and a way to record thoughts.
