Julia Černá is a student at UMPRUM in the Animation and Film Studio, but her portfolio also includes a large number of illustrations and comics, such as “The Stone of Destiny”.
“The Stone of Destiny” is a comic book trilogy with a philosophical overtone—Julia likes to describe it as an abstract-autobiographical comic book. In it, we follow the melancholic wanderings of an animated stone, which encounters diverse characters on its journey and tries to find its own place in the world. For “Kamen Osudu,” Julia won the 2022 Muriel Award for the best student comic. Currently, Julia is transforming “The Stone of Destiny” into a short animated musical.
