Daniela graduated in Graphic Design from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design (AFAD) in Bratislava. She has illustrated over twenty books for children, young adults, and general readers for both Slovak and international publishing houses (including Artforum, BRAK, Baobab, Slovart, Nota Bene, Akropolis, Argo, Little Gestalten, and Boycott). She also worked on experimental book editions of Richard Brautigan’s In Watermelon Sugar (2011) and Italo Calvino’s Invisible Cities (2016). The book MYKO: The Complete Guide to the World of Fungi (written by Jiří Dvořák, published by Baobab) won the main BolognaRagazzi Award 2024 in the Non-Fiction category. She has a long-standing collaboration with the association Čierne diery (Black Holes), which maps forgotten and endangered industrial architecture in Slovakia.
