Eva ten Cate is an artist and illustrator based in Zwolle, Netherlands, who draws her deepest creative inspiration from the natural world. Her artistic practice explores themes of connection, meditation, and the intricate ways humans interact with their surrounding objects, plants, animals, and artifacts. For the festival, she translates her tactile philosophies into a physical gallery space centered around the concept of collective connection, challenging the modern detachment between humanity and nature. The exhibition features an immersive world of three-dimensional ceramics, organic textile wall hangings, and autonomous illustrations that transcend flat surfaces. The core of the display stems from her risograph-printed zine “Best Buds”, which compiles reflective personal writing, life drawings, and abstract paintings. Ultimately, her installation serves as an offline sanctuary designed to foster genuine dialogue, appreciation, and shared love away from the digital sphere.
