Filip Šenkeřík (born 1999) is a graduate of the Didactic Illustration studio at Sutnar and comes from Blansko. The time he spent in the forests on the edge of the Moravian Karst has significantly influenced his relationship with nature and the way he now thinks about imagery. In his work, he focuses primarily on illustration, author’s books and projects inspired by natural forms, structures and plant growth. He enjoys working with natural motifs and decorative artefacts. His drawings are rich in detail and texture, and their colour palette is often almost fantastical. He draws on knowledge of the natural sciences, which he freely interprets and combines with decorative elements and a subtle narrative.
