Filip Tatýrek (*1996) is a graduate of the Animation and Film studio at UMPRUM who is currently based in the hills of the Vysočina region. His artistic practice focuses on the intersection of physical materials and narrative imagery, with a primary emphasis on combining woodcarving and traditional illustration. For the festival, he presents a modest, custom scenographic installation designed to transform the gallery space into a whimsical, eccentric landscape. This physical environment serves as an interactive backdrop that directly accompanies and contextualizes his paper illustrations. By merging structural woodwork with flat graphic designs, his project invites viewers to step directly into a playful, three-dimensional interpretation of his illustrative world.
