Jakub Hrdlička, a graduate of graphic design at the Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem, has been drawing inspiration from medieval visual culture for a long time in his artistic work, drawing for example for the cultural fortnightly A2 and for a number of black metal bands from the Czech Republic and abroad. As part of the LUSTR festival, he has presented several times both independently and as part of the illustrator groups Nýbrž and Z pekla se kouří. He is also one of the most interesting Czech creators of independent comics, he published his fantasy short story Echoes from Deep in the magazine Aargh!.
