He was born in Znojmo. He studied animation in Zlín and later illustration in Juraj Horváth’s studio at UMPRUMka in Prague. He decided to devote himself to illustration as a professional, and in 2023 he won the Czech Grand Design award for it for the second time. He owns the Take Take Take publishing house with Nikola Janíčková.
Towards the end of 2022, the Paseka publishing house published his illustrated travelogue Westward on the Northwest Line about a trip to the northwest of the USA and to British Columbia. A year earlier, he also published a “comic documentary” B as a runner in Paseka about cross-country races in the United States. One day he would like to draw a book—which he keeps talking about but hasn’t even started working on yet—about the history of utopian religious communities in 19th-century North America.
