Josef Sedlák, also known as Akrobad (*1990), completed a bachelor’s degree in illustration at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University. Since then, he has been working as a freelance artist; he focuses primarily on large-format murals, illustration, original prints, paintings, woodcarving and land art, in which he creates objects from birch wood installed in the open countryside and public spaces. Motifs of the city and nature often intertwine in his work; he also works with abstraction and the deconstruction of type. He lives and works in Plzeň, where he currently has a studio in the DEPO2015 creative zone.
