Hello, I am Julia and I am working as an illustrator in editorial and children’s publishing. I love abstract shapes, graphic structures and bold colors. In my pictures, geometric designs meet unusual and humorous characters. I am interested in non-normative bodies, culture, politics and nature issues.
I studied illustration in Halle and Berlin and my works has been published in magazines as the New York Times or Le Monde Diplomatique. My inspiration comes from printmaking and I write and illustrate books, accompany events with live drawings and I like to teach at art schools.
