My name is Juliana, I am a multidisciplinary visual artist originally from
Colombia, currently based in Berlin. With a background in fine arts and
graphic design, I have found my creative niche in illustration, particularly
through the output of risography, a medium I have been mastering for the
past three years.
Deeply influenced by the unique look and feel of this printing technique,
which allows me to play with transparencies, overlaps, and textures, I
create abstract scenes, somehow impossible worlds and dreamy realities
that convey movement, flow, and dynamism. Drawing inspiration from
diverse sources such as the human body, the emotional being, outer space, and scientific imagery, my illustrations weave a dialogue between geometric and structured compositions with organic, loose shapes. Through bold
colors and saturated, vibrant figures, I aim to take the viewer on a visual
journey, leaving space for interpretation and triggering their curiosity.
My work includes a wide range of formats, including prints, editorial
illustrations for magazines, event artworks, and collages for companies.
I am particularly passionate about the intersection of art and design,
where I blend analogue and digital tools in the production, reproduction and
printmaking of images.
