Kateřina Illnerová graduated from the Studio of Comics and Children’s Illustration at the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art in Pilsen (Sutnarka). She continues along this path after her studies. In her personal work, she focuses on the magic of everyday life and small, quiet moments. She has received two Muriel Comic Awards—for Best Short Comic and Best Student Comic, the latter awarded for her diploma thesis S láskou, V. (With Love, V.). In 2022, she won the international Silent Book Contest with her term project Ztracen v porcelánu (Lost in Porcelain). The book was subsequently published in Italy, France, and most recently in Turkey. Her work has been exhibited several times at the LUSTR festival, as well as during the Comics Symposium in Poznań and at Klenová in the Šumava region. You can also find her work in children’s books (published by Běžíliška, Lux, Pikola, Portál, Host, and others), magazines (Vital, Host, Mateřídouška), or festival visual identity designs (such as Divadlo v Dlouhé or FRAME). Upon request, she will gladly draw you a teapot.
