Born in Taipei in 1981, Abei Liu, also known as Liu Zheng-Kun, is a Taipei-based illustrator and artist. He co-founded Elebbit Co., Ltd. in 2011, a business involving design, illustration, art, and fashion. His works depict fashionable, warm, and emotional elements of everyday life.
Abei graduated from the Fashion Design Department and has self-taught various skills, including graphic design. He is passionate about creating tangible handmade artworks, experimenting with different materials and presentation methods, blending digital and analog techniques.
Abei believes in the power of individual interpretation and reads that his viewers naturally find their own meanings within his works. Consequently, he avoids tackling weighty subjects directly, opting instead for visually presenting simple perspectives on life. By removing complexities and aiming for pure reflective emotions, Abei’s art allows viewers to connect with his pieces on a personal level, reflecting the essence of the present era.
