Marynka Dovhanych is a multi-disciplinary artist and storyteller based in Vyshhorod, Ukraine, whose diverse creative practice spans graphic art, comics, text, video art, installation, as well as animated and documentary film. In her work, she frequently engages with complex subjects surrounding collective and environmental memory, ethnography, and the pervasive influence of colonialism on historical and contemporary narratives. For the festival, she presents a visual exploration of her independent comic titled “My Power Cut Is More Medieval Than Yours”. The exhibition showcases high-quality prints of the artwork from this project, displaying the entirety of its twelve-page sequential narrative to the audience.
