Michaela Kukovičová (born 1968) is an illustrator and animator. She graduated from the Animation Studio at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, where she currently works as a lecturer. She specialises in book and magazine illustration, creates illustrations for websites and runs art workshops. Books featuring her illustrations have won several awards in the ‘Most Beautiful Czech Books’ and ‘Golden Ribbon’ competitions. The book *To je Praha* (Baobab, 2015), on which she collaborated with the writer Olga Černá, received an honourable mention at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair.
