Mathilde Paix

Mathilde Paix

Mathilde is a young illustrator, comic creator, and co-organizer of the newly emerging alternative comics festival, Future Off, in the French city of Angoulême. The festival is a continuation of the now-defunct Spin Off festival. She paints her comics in a traditional style, contributes to various magazines, and also engages in ceramics. Her work is primarily associated with the French small press publisher Pain Perdu, which released Mathilde’s fanzine “Place de ma mob” in 2022 and this year published her graphic novel “Jacques Bonhomme,” which includes a board game. Mathilde will personally attend LUSTR and you’ll have the opportunity to meet her during LUSTR Talks!
