Rebecca Valente

Rebecca Valente (*1997) is a multidisciplinary artist, illustrator, comic artist, and painter who currently lives between Turin and her home in the woods. Her versatile work spans editorial and music-related collaborations with organizations such as ADD, Lucy, EDT, Internazionale, Domani editoriale, Gli Asini, Fotta, Undamento, and Profondissima. As an author, she published her first books, Bestia d’Acqua dolce and I Gibanini e il Grande Fuoco, with Sigaretten. Deeply engaged in the independent art scene, she produces self-published works through screen printing and risography workshops with collectives like Zanna Dura, RFI gallery, Spazio Muffa, and SecreteroomPress. Valente also shares her expertise by teaching Illustration in the master’s program at the Scuola Internazionale di Comics di Torino. Her artistic world lovingly depicts nature, living things, and organic matters alongside darker themes like death and scary phenomena. Looking ahead, her graphic novel La regina formica and the illustrated poetry book Il regno di zirconi will be previewed at Lustr before their autumn release with NuevoSido for the Tana series.
