Sebastián Barrios is a Chilean visual artist who explores the possibilities of drawing through an austere approach, focusing on line, form, repetition, and perception. Through self-imposed rules and playful methodologies, he develops images that reflect on nature and vernacular traditions, with a particular interest in the tension between gesture and geometry, articulated through a personal visual language. His practice brings together a range of materials and artisanal techniques, such as printmaking, alongside digital processes. He is the founder of the graphic and editorial project Barriosinzapatos, where he publishes books and zines. He has participated in exhibitions and print fairs, and works as an illustrator across editorial and commissioned projects, including children’s and experimental publications.
