Tomas Jedno is a Bratislava-based multidisciplinary artist and illustrator who graduated from the Department of Printmaking and Other Media at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. His diverse practice encompasses illustration, drawing, collage, and fine art printmaking, frequently utilizing screen printing, gravure, and etching techniques to critique contemporary society. For the festival, he presents a selection of prints and drawings that critically and humorously examine the absurdity of modern urban life centered around automobiles. Through an ironic and sarcastic visual language, his artwork highlights how cities disproportionately allocate public space to cars at the expense of pedestrians and cyclists, while exposing car ownership as an empty status game that worsens traffic congestion. Ultimately, his project seeks not to provide practical urban solutions, but to spark public reflection on how shared city environments are prioritized and occupied.
