Vojta Haken is a Prague-based Czech artist and animator originally from the Bohemian Paradise region (Český ráj), currently pursuing his studies in animation at UMPRUM. While his primary creative focus lies in directing and producing independent animated short films, he channels his spare creative energy into intricate graphic art and printmaking. For the festival, he presents an ambitious B1-format silkscreen print created as a deeply personal homage to his native landscape. The artwork utilizes a precise three-color registration to meticulously capture a rich, interconnected slice of the Bohemian Paradise ecosystem, documenting its regional flora, fauna, fungi, distinct rock formations, wetlands, and hidden forest infrastructure. To elevate the print from a flat graphic into a highly crafted physical artifact, Haken plans to present the work within a custom-built, decorative frame featuring intricate wooden marquetry. Ultimately, his installation bridges traditional graphic design with meticulous wood craftsmanship, offering a dense, reverent mapping of a landscape that continues to shape his creative worldview.
