Wet Weather Collective (*2026) is a newly formed group of Southeast Asian illustrators committed to spotlighting their vibrant and often overlooked regional artistic scene. With diverse members hailing from Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand, the collective celebrates the rich intersections of their cultures to deepen global understanding of Southeast Asian identities. For the festival, their exhibition pays homage to Southeast Asia’s traditional textiles, whose histories vividly reflect centuries of trade and cross-cultural exchange. The showcase features a compelling mix of prints and physical textile works, with each piece carefully honoring each artist’s regional craft and culture. By interweaving deeply personal stories within these traditional mediums, the collective creates a visually layered and culturally resonant narrative for the audience.
