What is it like to translate a drawing from paper onto a twenty-meter wall? How does one work with such a scale, and what happens if it rains during the painting process? Three illustrators, whose works can be seen on the streets of Prague, Breda, and Sibiu – Jakub Bachorík, Patrik Antczak, and Maria Makeeva, will share their experiences with mural painting. The entire series of other Czech murals created in collaboration between LUSTR and the Czech Centers in five other cities around the world will be presented by one of the project’s curators, Barbora Müllerová. There will also be a discussion about the Prague Comics Residency Mezikrok /Remix Comix and how painting can help children from orphanages.
The presentation will be conducted in Czech with simultaneous interpretation into English.
