Workshop with illustrator and author of comics and children’s books Lucie Lučanská.
Come explore the possibilities of depicting fruit and vegetables together. Navigate between the classic genres of still life and non-fiction illustration, capture taste impressions, touch on porous boundaries, narrative lines, playful approaches, and other techniques.
Lucie Lučanská is an illustrator. She draws and writes her own books and creates original comics for both children and adults. In the past, she also self-published them, but lately she has been working more with professional publishers. Besides that, she paints with watercolors, tattoos, and experiments with airbrush, though she never sticks with one technique for too long. She completed her doctoral studies at UMPRUM, which resulted in an illustrated children’s book The Book of Perception. She also collaborates with the Portuguese publishing house Planeta Tangerina, the French editions MeMo, the Italian Edizioni Sigaretten, and the Czech publisher LUX.
The workshop was created in collaboration with the Culture for Future project.
