Taking their seats at the roundtable are Czech, Spanish, and Argentine artists who present significant and compelling reflections on pressing contemporary issues through their comics and graphic novels, essentially offering critiques in illustrations. The visions and narrative-graphic universes that engage the reader’s sensibilities and prompt contemplation will be confronted, thereby transforming comics into tools for enlightenment and information dissemination. With these artists, we will delve into various forms of engagement embedded within comics, discussing how this medium intersects with surrounding realities, the past, and the future, while also challenging them. We will be intrigued by their motivations and distinct ways of involvement through comics, emphasizing their unique approaches to utilizing the myriad possibilities of this medium to craft intimate yet universally distinct graphic narratives.
