At this workshop, you will try out various textile printing techniques. You can improve your own old clothes or decorate a blank T-shirt. A simple handicraft approach is not only an alternative to the current textile industry, but also a principle determining the unmistakable style and guarantees a lot of fun.
Linda Retterová studied animated film at UMPRUM. During her studies, she completed internships in textiles in Prague and Paris, as well as in a risography studio in Berlin. After graduating, she founded her own textile brand, ROE, under which she creates original designs and hand-prints fabrics. She enjoys working with collage, spontaneity, and vibrant colors.
What to bring: Your own fabric for printing. You can print and draw on light-colored T-shirts, sweatshirts, fabrics, and socks (no dark fabrics). The fabric must have a minimum cotton content of 50%! The organizers recommend bringing work clothes – the paints used in the workshop are mainly intended for light-colored fabrics and are not washable once fixed.
A few clean T-shirts will also be available for purchase at the workshop.
We recommend purchasing tickets in advance. Capacity is limited, and if it is not filled beforehand, the program may be cancelled.
