Of course, Czech illustrators and comic creators will also have their space at LUSTR. In the traditional exhibition section of the international salon, which showcased the Japanese scene last year and the Mexican scene the year before, this year we atypically focused on domestic creations. You will find the latest works of Nikola Logosová, Barbora Idesová, Martin Lacko, Jan Šrámek and Veronika Vlková, Juliána Chomová, Patrik Antczak, and Jindřich Janíček. In addition to LUSTR, this year the creative duo Tomski&Polanski is celebrating a milestone anniversary, summarizing their activities with an extensive retrospective in a separate exhibition. Another smaller solo exhibition by stalwarts of Czech illustration, David Böhm and Jiří Franta, is titled “Kdo vypráví komu o čem” (“Who tells whom about what”) and with subversive humor, it opens up many burning questions of the present, such as migration, xenophobia, or nationalism.
