Never Again

LUSTR Illustration and Comics Festival (Prague) & Raum für Illustration (Hamburg)
The Never Again project brings together illustrators from the Czech Republic and Germany to draw attention to contemporary forms of hatred, nationalism, xenophobia, and the threats facing democratic values in Europe. Through ten posters created by ten different illustrators, the project visually exposes fascist and extremist patterns. It serves as a reminder of the vital importance of solidarity, respect, and the protection of human rights, while advocating for an open and democratic society.

What are we talking about?
These visual essays explore the most pressing issues in today’s society:

Human Rights: The safety of queer communities, racism, and xenophobia.
Social Roles: Toxic masculinity and gender inequality.
Freedom: Independent education, freedom of speech, and the safeguarding of democracy.

Display the posters in your city!
We want these messages to reach the streets, cafés, schools, and community boards. Do you have an available space? Become a part of the project.

How to get involved?
Riso Set (10 x A3): We will be happy to send you a set of 10 posters printed on a Risograph. The posters are free of charge; you only cover the shipping costs. The condition is that they are displayed in a public space and that you send us a photo for documentation.

Print Your Own: You can download the posters yourself and print them on any color printer. In this case, too, we would be grateful if you shared photos of the posters in your neighborhood.
The goal of this project is to inspire reflection and actively protect the values upon which our society stands. Help us spread the voice of respect and tolerance.

We are announcing an open call for new original posters to expand the Never Again project with additional voices – we are looking for illustrations and graphic designs that can address social issues, ask questions, and draw attention to patterns we refuse to accept as normal.

The result will be a selection of new original designs, which will be printed as a limited-edition A3 series and presented in the Never Again section during the LUSTR Festival 2026, taking place September 24–30 at the Holešovice Market in Prague.
