The Showcase of Young Talents
The Showcase of Young Talents is a traditional standalone exhibition segment of the LUSTR festival. Here, you will find new gifted authors from the world of illustration and comics that have never been seen at the festival before.
The entire exhibition is assembled each year from open call entries ahead of the festival, and for that reason, you may encounter a wide range of distinct and uniquely individual visual styles in the exhibition. This year, the expert jury had the task of selecting only 35 names from over four hundred submissions from talented illustrators and comics creators. During the evaluation of the submitted portfolios, we often found ourselves sweating and shedding a tear over many projects that ultimately didn’t make it into the exhibition. Nevertheless, we believe that the final selection has maintained a high standard once again, and we hope that you will enjoy the resulting showcase, which offers a cross-section of the diverse form of contemporary global illustration, as much as we do!
