Jaromír 99 has created a number of titles as a comic artist, the most famous of which are graphic novels, strips and an animated film about Alois Nebel, Franz Kafka’s Castle, Zátopek, Zatím dobrý or Čáslavská. In addition to comics, he also works in graphics and music. In the Czech Republic, he is one of the pioneers of comics for adults – together with screenwriter Jaroslav Rudiš, he offered (not only) the domestic readers of stories about Nebel a distinctive poetics and humor as well as serious topics associated with the displacement of the Sudetenland. As part of the LUSTR festival this year, he will take on the role of a juror selecting the exhibitors for Showcase in the sections of comics and creative collectives.
