Michaela Kukovičová is an illustrator, university teacher and passionate collector of beautiful little things that inspire her to create – whether it’s an old postcard or a piece of paper with an interesting texture that she might use in a collage in the future. She has created a whole line of books for children and adult readers, for the book This is Prague! she received an honorable mention at the international children’s book fair in Bologna, for last year’s author’s books Dívej, ulice! and Kniha roku (which she created in collaboration with Magdalena Rutová), she is currently collecting one award nomination after another. Together with Juraj Horváth, she leads the illustration and graphics studio at the Prague Academy of Fine Arts and Design and loves drawing travel diaries.
