Františka Loubat graduated from the studio of illustration and graphics at the Academy of Fine Arts of Prague, but since her studies she has been interested in the medium of comics. Czech readers may know her strips from the artistic environment Kustodka Květa and Umělec from Artalk.cz or the magazine Art and Antiques, for Kustodka Květa strip Františka won the Muriel Award of the Czech Academy of Comics in 2014. She has also created longer comic stories, such as the noir novella SICKTOWN, the biographical story Nebuď jako gádžo! from the series Nejisté domovy (Uncertain Homes) by the Ašta šmé initiative, contributions to the anthologies Odsunuté děti and Tři královny and a number of illustrations for Baobab Publishing House. As part of LUSTR 2025, she will take on the role of a judge for the comics and creative collectives sections of the Showcase exhibition.
