Jakub Sedláček is the editor-in-chief of the Paseka publishing house and a long-time comics enthusiast. As an editor, he has contributed to two dozen comic titles, from adventures for children to ambitious titles for adults, such as visual essays by Swedish legend Liv Strömquist or a comics textbook in the form of comics by Czech author Toy_Box. Jakub loves the work of Lorenzo Mattotti, Peter Kuper, Daniel Clowes and Charles Burns. He has published in a number of cultural periodicals, including the comics magazine Aargh!, and has edited a book about editorial and publishing work, Neviditelné řemeslo (Invisible Craft) (2023). During this year’s festival, he will take on the role of a juror for entries to the Showcase exhibition, in sections dedicated to comics and creative collectives.
