LUSTR festival of illustration

Galerie Art Salon S MICRONA
The first edition of the LUSTR Festival took place from April 25 to 27, 2014, at Galerie Art Salon S MICRONA in Prague. The three-day festival, accompanied by an exhibition that ran until June 30, presented a selection of the best contemporary Czech and Slovak illustration.
The festival featured works by well-known illustrators such as David Böhm and Jiří Franta, Vladimír 518, Tomski & Polanski, Daniela Olejniková, Kateřina Kynclová, Daniel Špaček, Alžběta Skálová, as well as illustrators from the Animation and Illustration Studio at UMPRUM, among many others. The festival aimed not only to entertain but also to give insight into the daily work of illustrators, the tools they use, and the creative challenges they face.
The festival also included a rich accompanying program. In addition to the exhibition, visitors could enjoy a screen printing workshop, lectures and discussions, live drawing sessions, and workshops for children.
