LUSTR 5 – festival of illustration

The fifth annual LUSTR illustration festival welcomed a total of 2,147 visitors to Prague, once again confirming its position as the largest platform for contemporary illustration in the Czech Republic. The aim of the festival was to introduce the most active Czech and foreign illustrators, showcase the breadth of contemporary approaches to illustration, and bring this dynamic field closer to the general public.
However, the festival is traditionally not just an exhibition—it is also a place for meeting, learning, and sharing. It offers space for establishing new collaborations between illustrators, students, professionals, and institutions. The rich accompanying program consisted of workshops, lectures, community events, and a program for children.
The fifth edition of the LUSTR festival was organized by the Czech Illustrators Association, in cooperation with the Faculty of Arts of Charles University, which provided the festival with space at Hybernská 4. The festival was staffed by Věra Mezuláníková, Nadia Sheshuková, and Ilona Polanská.

The LUSTR 6 festival was organized with the support of the Prague City Hall and the Czech Ministry of Culture.
Workshops were held at the festival in cooperation with the Megapixel brand and the Zlatá loď art supplies store. Papyrus provided paper as a sponsorship gift.
