LUSTR is the largest showcase of contemporary authorial illustration and the biggest gathering of illustrators in our country. It regularly presents the best and freshest works from contemporary Czech and Slovak illustration, and it also features international creators.
LUSTR isn’t just pictures on the walls; it’s a diverse showcase of over fifty selected authors, workshops, lectures, and competitions. At the LUSTR festival, you’ll get to meet the authors and become acquainted with the faces and hands behind the artwork that is usually created in seclusion.
The aim of the LUSTR Illustration Festival association is to promote the Czech illustration scene and support the art of illustration. In addition to the annual illustration festival, we organize traveling exhibitions called LUSTR ON TOUR, an Illustration Symposium in Broumov, and other one-time but significant activities such as Mezikrok, Illustrationindex and we welcome other projects in which we can participate.
The 2025 edition of the festival will once again take place at Prague’s Holešovice Market, for the third year in a row. This time, you can find us in Hall 13 and, for the first time, also in Hall 11.
