Broumov Illustration Symposium 2025

In recent years, the Broumov Monastery has become a popular venue for spring gatherings of the illustration scene. This year was no exception: at the turn of March and April, six illustrators arrived in Broumov and were given the opportunity to spend fourteen days creating side by side in a quiet, creative timelessness.

The host institution is the Broumov Education and Cultural Center and the former gardener’s house, which is home to the Galerie Dům exhibitions from May to October. Before the season begins, the Illustration Symposium is given space to transform the exhibition space into a shared studio. This spring, six illustrators worked here. Four were from the Czech Republic, one from Germany, and one from Slovenia.
