Kristina Fingerland studied Illustration and Graphics at UMPRUM (Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague), where she also completed an internship in the Sculpture studio. She studied Painting at AVU (Academy of Fine Arts in Prague) and at the Glasgow School of Art in Scotland. Her work has been exhibited both in the Czech Republic (e.g. MeetFactory, Display, Gampa) and abroad (e.g. in New York, Norway, and Slovakia). She has participated in several artist residencies (such as ESAC and Naplaveno). In 2022, she was awarded a creative grant by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic. Since 2024, her work has been included in the permanent collection of the regional Gočár Gallery, and her textile installation is part of A.T.L.A.S. in the National Gallery Prague. She is also the author of several artist’s books.
