HOHO is an artist/actress now based in Taipei, Taiwan. She graduated from Shih Chien University the Department of Communications where she learned the concept of storytelling and 3D animation. She has been to Royal College of Art to study experimental animation for 1 year and lived her life in London where she learned the skills of 2D stop motion and the animation path of thinking. When she came back from London, PonDing(Taiwan) and LiveArt-Books (Japan) helped her to publish her first illustration book called “Sketch Book by HOHO”.
HOHO’s works present a variety of creative media which include oil paintings, acrylics, animations, ceramics, and large sculptures to describe and create current feelings and connections. The paintings mostly come from spaces with strange perspectives and the interaction of characters in the space. “My favorite space is a space that contains countless tangible and intangible things, and is transformed by the gaps in memory. I feel safe in this kind of space. Under the transformation of a layer of memory, it also becomes a part of me and the people in other paintings. That’s a beautiful thing.” She said.
Now HOHO keeps working on her arts and diving into the area to combine what she learned and what she experienced into her works. She also collaborates with fashion brands by printing her works on fabrics, clothes, hats, and accessories. “We all come from the mysterious land of surprises. We carry history, sacrifice our bodies and souls, in exchange for growth and vision beyond all else. We use all our strength to experience the human experience, and everything inside the body and outside the vision will be narrated in a unique way describing the common experience shared by everyone.” She said.
