Shian Ng is a Singaporean artist and illustrator. The stories that comprise her personal work often address the dichotomy of her upbringing- at once traditional and contemporary; steeped in folklore and the sheen of the silver screen.
Having spent many of her formative years immersed in the world of commercial illustration, she yearns to further navigate the complex terrain of her identity, both in exploring her Southeast- Asian background and straddling the line between belonging and alienation. She is currently exploring incorporating textiles with her illustration work.
